Friday 2/24

noon report: sun has poked behind high clouds, temp at 18 degrees with wind from the west at 6mph. Bottom set up last night, still carving but to midway lovely and soft. Paul reports powder still to be found in the glades! SUN’S SHINING Patrol at 9:15 on the slopes with no wind and everything riding soft and lovely. Temperature already climbing at 15.3 degrees. Wind on the slopes nil, at the mountain top 3-5 NW. Groomers reporting at 5am this Friday morning with just a skiff of snow on the stakes. The temperature 9.3 degrees and wind from the west at 0-4 mph. Starry skies are clear with lights of the valley below and unlimited visibility. Expect temperature to warm into the double digits quickly. With cooler weather the snow has lightened up where even tracked runs are easy turning. Snowblower is freshly groomed along with Lakeside, Radar and Emmons Ridge. All of Olympic groomed and on Crystal Blacktail, Clearcut Short Branch and West Ridge are freshly groomed. Mighty Mite and Neverland fresh and ready to roll as well. Machines are laying out top to bottom cruisers. It is going to be a fun day to be with family and friends on the slopes. Tomorrow is the start of the second session of Snow Sports Programs for Young Fawns & Blacktails.
