Monday 12/22/14

Groomers reporting in this Monday morning at 5am with no new snow overnight, 2 additional inches of snow on the 24 hour. Yesterday it snowed in the early hours and then cleared with in and out blue skies throughout the day. The wind continued to swirl but largely protected with the north facing aspect. The northwest flow continues to create a chance of snow today with temperature at 22 degrees and wind 5-10 SSW. Despite warm temps yesterday in the valley it was winter on the mountain and with temperatures remaining cold the snow just keeps getting better. The groomers are going to be excellent today with powder for the powder hounds. Come on up and enjoy the season! Thunderhead is open to midstation, Olympic top to bottom and the handle tow in operation.

Thunderhead open to midstation, Olympic top to bottom and the handletow in operation.

It has been a blizzard since midnight with temperature currently at 28 degrees and wind 6-10 WNW swirling.
