10:50 update: It is snowing for the last day on the slopes! Get up for fresh on groomed fun for all. Groomers reporting in this Sunday morning at 5am with a trace of new snow and high clouds. Temperature cooled and they have been busy laying out corduroy for this last day of fun on the slopes. Yesterday graupel fell off and on through the day with sun showing up at the end of the day while overnight there has been no accumulation. Radar indicates snow may be on the way before the end of the day. Crystal lift remains closed with plenty of upper mountain groomed and great to go. Come up and enjoy the last day of the 2012-13 Season.
8:30 update: clouds moved in, visibility 200 yds, wind from the south 5-10mph, graupel. Groomers reporting this morning at 5 am with a half an inch of new snow. That snow fell before they came on at midnight and after everyone else had left for the day. Temperature has fallen to a more normal seasonal level and there is a moisture laden system working its way from the Pacific bringing chance of snow tonight. With the best skiing at the top of the mountain the lower has been closed and Crystal is not open. Groomers have laid out plenty of corduroy and it is going to be really nice riding. Come up and enjoy this last weekend of the season.
8:20 update: The skies have partially cleared with a little bit of blue overhead. Being that the best skiing will be on top we’ve decided to close the lower mountain for today including the Crystal Lift. The upper half of Thunderhead and the Olympic chair will be good skiing. The forcast is for snow in the mountains tonight. Maybe we can finish up the season with a little powder. The groomers reporting in this Friday morning with light rain and snow thru the night. The upper mountain groomed out nice and should ski well. We may have to have some lower mountain closures that we will update you with when the patrol gets out on the mountain. The best skiing will be on the top half. Sunday April 7th will be our last day.
Today is the last Thrifty Thursday, ski all day for $25. The groomers are reporting in this moornig at 5 am with clear skies, light breeze of 0-3 from the west, no new snow, and a temp of 28 degrees. Snow conditions will be firm this morning, but should soften early in the day with the forcast to be yet another warm day. We will close lower west ridge below Bucksnort and lower Emmons below the intermediate road today for repairs. Sunday April 7th will be our last day of the 2012-2013 season.
Groomers reporing in at 5 am this Wednesday morning, with another nice spring day shaping up. The groomed runs should ski well this morning and soften fairly quickly with the warm temps expected again today. The temperature at 5 am is 30 degrees with a light breeze of 3 to 5 out of the sw. This is the last full week of operation, there is a possibility of one more weekend depending on conditions.
