Snow Report

SEPTEMBER 14TH 2017

Blacktail Mountain Fall 2017

It’s time to start thinking about winter. In just a few short months we will be back on the slopes. New for this season are more Glades! We have gladed everything between Radar and Snowslip down to Crossover and the upper portion between Emmons Ridge and the Olympic Chair down to Easy out. The logging was being done by Dan Siderius and crew for Stoltz Lumber and they have been currently shut down, due to the fire danger. We hope to still get it finished down to Crossover before we open. The road restoration that was supposed to happen to the 7 mile mark has been delayed till next summer. I told you last spring that the pre-solicitation notice, to alert the contractors, came out March 16th, and the bid would be in May. Apparently someone neglected to tell Centurylink they needed to move their fiber optic line over 2 culverts that needed to be replaced. The line was moved and is ready for construction.

We will be at the Kalispell Sportsman Ski Haus “Cruncher Sale” this coming Saturday the 16th. For those of you who have not yet purchased your Season Pass they are on sale till October 31st. We will be taking pictures for those who have already purchased and need a new photo.
