The community of Lakeside is Blacktail’s home. Located at the base of the mountain, it is only a 14 mile drive from the town of Lakeside to the Blacktail Lodge. Lakeside looks out over Flathead Lake–the largest natural freshwater lake west of the Mississippi. Lakeside has many places great for eating and sleeping after a day on the slopes. The town of Somers is located between Lakeside and Kalispell on the shores of Flathead Lake. Somers is a short drive from the ski slope and offers excellent accommodation and dining options.

Sea Me Paddle offers guided kayak and paddleboard tours on Flathead Lake including a two hour tour on Somers Bay that is suitable for all paddlers. We also offer a half day tour to Cedar Island which includes a stop at ancient Native American pictographs viewable only by water and a half day Wild Horse Island excursion which includes a 2 ½ hour self-guided hike for viewing the wild horses, mule deer and big horn sheep that inhabit the island.
Sea Me Paddle also has a full line of kayak, double kayak, pedal boat, and paddle board rentals and multiple locations for added convenience. We offer delivery to your location as well as large volume rentals.
